Short days, short loop.
November days are short, but long enough for this family cycling loop. Safe, traffic-free gravel paths and tracks take you from Ajdovščina to Napoleon’s Bridge over the Vipava, and the way back leads through the old town past the remains of its Roman walls. The terrain is almost completely flat and the riding easy. You’ll be back at the start in about an hour.
