The route starts at the parking area in Ajdovščina, at the confluence of the Lokavšček stream and the Hubelj River. This peaceful, green area offers a sense of a natural oasis in the middle of the urban environment right from the start.
Napoleon Bridge
The historical highlight of the route. Built in the early 19th century, the bridge connects the two banks of the Vipava River. Although there is no direct evidence that it was built exclusively for the needs of Napoleon's army, it is often associated with his campaigns. Today, the bridge is one of Ajdovščina's most recognisable landmarks.

The return route takes us through the historic town centre, where you can see remains of the Roman town walls and characteristic architecture influenced by the Friulian style.
The route ends where it began, at the starting parking area. If the children still have some energy left, they can enjoy the nearby playground after the ride.
